"I BELIEVE IN PINK! I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles."— Audrey Hepburn

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Every night, friends. You have done what you could. Let it go.

“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson

Banned Books Week!

Good Morning:) or whenever you are reading this:) I will assume that you all realize by now that this week is banned book week, if for no other reason than the fact that my title up there just told you that...lol!

Yup, it is...Can you imagine that in this day and age, people feel that they still have the right to tell other people what they can and cannot read? I mean,to believe that you have the right to decide what is best for someone other then yourself...even if it for the good of mankind....rather insufferable don't you think?

I read an article this week written by an author that has had at least two of his books protested. Huffington Post You can click on that and read it for yourself, but the gist was that it was an exciting thing that meant that he had written an important work that meant something to someone!
Huh, Go figure...
Well, no matter the what or why, this girl had thought at one point that this type of censorship was a thing of the past...Not so apparently...
Well, may cooler heads prevail....
Until then, I am here to tell you that there are several favorite books of mine on the banned book list. The first one that comes to mind is To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. This book has been challenged, banned and brought back almost more than any other since it's publication in 1960.
So, which banned books are your favorites?
