I seem to have spent a lot of time this weekend on my trusty little pink laptop...That's right my PINK laptop...did you for one second doubt it? lol...Well, you might ask...what were you doing on said laptop? Well, I am about to tell you...You may have noticed if you scrolled down at all, that I may have gotten just a tad bit carried away with the memes this weekend...I did two on Friday and then my usual Pink one on Saturday. Well, I just couldn't help it! The 5 Question Friday looked like fun and the picture that went with it was really cute! Oh, and I just remembered another one...I also did Aloha Friday...Well, who can resist a Hawaii themed meme? And I thought, well, those all might have mostly youngsters who might not really be interested in a cool, pink, slightly long in the tooth blogger like me...and so I joined in the usual Follow Friday over 40 meme...Sheesh...Somebody checking me out for the first time might think that I don't even really blog, just meme all over the place...I don't even really know what the word means, for heaven's sake...sigh...
Well, I do blog, see! Here I am ...blogging...even if it is about memeing...so anyway, I then did my special Pink Saturday Meme...A must for all true Pink lovers and a natural for someone with a blog titled Truly Simply Pink, don't you think?
Well, after doing all of that, I proceeded to click on all kinds of links and visit all kinds of blogs all weekend long! I had a blast. It was so much fun to read the different styles. I especially like bloggers with a sense of humor about life and those with pretty and, you guessed it, pink blogs...I found that I like all kinds of blogs from all age groups...It has been such fun commenting and following and seeing if they comment back, and in turn meeting the bloggers. Sometimes they follow back and we have a conversation of sorts! I even gained a new Facebook friend.
I have found a few fellow survivors and some who have family members that are survivors...It is a good way to get ideas for my blog. To learn how to do things better or to learn what you like or don't like...Don't worry I don't borrow, unless invited to. I have a button page here, so if you'd like your button here and I don't have it already, just let me know...I love collecting your buttons...I can't tell you how to make a button because it took me two hours to make mine and that was months ago so who knows if I can do it again...sigh...but feel free to grab it!
Anyway, I have found that, while doing too many memes in one weekend is probably not too cool...blog hopping is a great way to meet new friends with common interests and to find new blogs that you may have an interest in! I highly recommend it! Oh, I even found that some other meme crazy bloggers have come up with a way to combine them all into one post so as not to appear meme crazy...very clever wouldn't you say? I know I would! Say that I mean...
This is Bailey... Bailey was by my side the entire time...He is a puppy and he barks at the wind and the rain...it has been very windy and rainy...So he fell asleep...in my slipper!
Cute huh!
I just could not resist throwing that picture in here!
Stay Pink fellow bloggers!
"I BELIEVE IN PINK! I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles."— Audrey Hepburn

Every night, friends. You have done what you could. Let it go.
“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson

Hi Pinkim, I'm one of those survivors you found while visiting in blogland. I'm a 5 year uterine cancer survivor. I'm also one of your new followers. Have a funtastic week. Linda
ReplyDeleteOh, I so adore Bailey....such preciousness. Just wanted to stop by and had to also tell you I'm an 8 year survivor....there's alot of us out there. Am I one of those you speak of who combines all the memes into one...kinda cheating, but works....and keeps me sane....

Bailey has the right idea, but the wrong venue! He/she needs one of those Snuggys.. My dog Roman loves to cover her head in any blanket.
ReplyDeleteI need to know what a meme is?.....
Take care,

Thanks for visiting my blog. I am a survivor also, but of Sarcoma. Three surgeries in 3 years and hopefully that's gotten rid of it for me.
ReplyDeleteI also have a Bailey, a little blond Chihuahua who loves to keep her nose warm and snuggle too!
Wow, see? Baileys and survivors all over the place...I am sure Bailey could find a better place to sleep but he sure likes those slippers...they are uggs and the inside are very furry and soft just like the boots...he really likes to snuggle them when I slp them off and put my feet up...lol...I guess you could say we share them. They sure used to me a lot cleaner.
ReplyDelete...just popped in to say "hello" and to thank you for the great message you left on my blog.
ReplyDeleteps - just what the heck is a meme?
hi there, i gave you an award on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI like memes but haven't participated in a blog hop. I think a weekend of meming and hopping sounds like fun. Of course this is coming from a mom of a 4 month old so lots of things sound fun, LOL :)
